Stand Up Against Hunger
Good Morning Everyone!
There are only 4 weeks left in the campus wide Stand Up Against Hunger Canned Food Drive. Our goal this year is to collect enough cans to fill room 1507 in the Student Union. We really need everyone’s help to reach our goal. If every employee and student on campus just donated one item we could have more than 20,000 cans!
All of the food will be donated to the MLK Kitchen for the Poor. All non-perishable items are welcomed. This kitchen serves more than 200 people every day in downtown Toledo. They serve anyone regardless of race, age, sex or religious belief.
If you would like to donate, there are collection boxes placed in over 50 locations on campus, to see the list click here. If you have any questions please call 419-530-7232.
This drive is a part of a community wide collection in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. We want to make a difference right here in Toledo. The drive will end on January 16, 2012 at the MLK Unity Celebration in Savage Arena at 9 am.
Thank you for reading, as you are preparing for this holiday season or recovering from your exam week please remember this food drive and more importantly the people we are helping to feed.
I hope you all have a very happy holiday season!
Sincerely,
Emily Hardcastle
