Want to be a Firefighter?

The University is working with the City of Toledo Fire and Rescue Departments to encourage students or anyone interested in being a firefighter to take the test on May 31, 2014.

An informational meeting will be held Tuesday, April 8 at 5:00 p.m. in the Ingman Room in the Student Union.  A presentation by current firefighters, free food, and a fire ladder truck in the centennial mall area will all be part of the festivities.

Please encourage all those interested in learning more about this great career to come over and discuss this profession.

is the Associate Vice President for Equity, Diversity and Community Engagement at The University of Toledo. She is the Chair of the UT President’s Council on Diversity and works with leadership across campuses to assist in the development and implementation of strategic plans, policies, proposals, programs and operating procedures to support UT diversity initiatives. She is responsible for leading the Catharine S. Eberly Center for Women focused on the issues and empowerment of women and creating and directing the Minority Business Development Center that nurtures entrepreneurial and economic development in the Toledo community by providing office space and services, training and mentoring and a network of professional advisers. Her expertise is in the area of diversity, equity and awareness program implementations.
