Anyone who knows me knows that I’m a huge fan of UTMC’s cancer program – particularly its breast cancer program.
As a survivor who was treated here, I know how great the care is. I know that I always felt like my health care team – doctors, nurses, techs, and everyone else – were truly advocating for me.
So when I was asked to play the role of “survivor” in UT’s Pink Glove Dance video, I was honored. Even though I had to dance on camera, which I’m not very good at.
But it was a blast. Departments from all over the Health Science Campus participated, whether their function relates to breast cancer or not. It was a project that inspired teamwork and pride in what we do.
The video was made to raise breast cancer awareness and is vying for a $10,000 donation in the University’s name to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Northwest Ohio. Please help us in our quest to win the competition – log onto Facebook or click here to vote for the video so it can win that donation!
Then “like” the UT bow tie in Ken Rosenthal’s contest. He’ll wear the top four ties with the most likes during his coverage of the World Series. Go to http://utole.do/utbowtie by noon Monday, Oct. 22, to vote for our University of Toledo Bow Tie!
