Keeping Up with Dr. Kaye

Rock It UT Weekend!

This is a big weekend at The University of Toledo: MusicFest, Pep Rally, President’s Tailgate, and of course our first home football game! Local band ‘The Lonely Friends’ will kick off the weekend and MusicFest (FREE) at 3:00pm, and I encourage everyone to come enjoy yourselves and support your local community and musicians while listening to Josh Gracin, Reel Big Fish and more! Full line up can be found here.

Keeping with tradition, head football coach Matt Campbell will be hosting a Pep Rally beginning just after 5:00pm, complete with the UT Rockets, our cheerleaders, and the Rocket Marching Band with Rocky and Rocksy. From there the tunes continue on until the closing ceremonies around midnight. So come on out and support your Toledo Rockets! Make sure you take pictures and submit your best to our Tumblr page too!

Following a night of music and fun, our University President, Dr. Lloyd Jacobs is hosting his annual tailgate on Saturday, before the Rockets square off against Eastern Washington. It takes place outside Rocket Hall from 4:30—6:30pm, when you are all encouraged to come and meet President Jacobs along with the UT Leadership team. There will be free food, a live DJ and opportunities to win prizes!

Looking forward to seeing you out during this fun filled weekend!

See You at the Game!

P.S. I hope your classes are going wonderfully and that you’re finding your way around campus as well as utilizing as many resources (academic and otherwise) as possible! Make sure you get in touch with your Success Coaches too – they’re here to help guide you along your academic journey. More information regarding Success Coaches can be found here.
