Your Feet Were Made for Walking
Monday, April 2nd, 2012Walking is so easy. Just put one foot in front of the other. Step by step, day after day, you walk to make progress. Every day we take thousands of steps to get where we need to go. Now we can take steps toward a healthy workplace and support the American Heart Association.
On Wednesday, April 4, The University of Toledo will join the American Heart Association in celebrating National Walking Day. It is a day to challenge ourselves and our nation to get heart healthy, get fit and fight the No. 1 killer of Americans – heart disease. Lace up your sneakers and join UT’s heart walk team at Noon, at the South Y at the MorseCenter, on the health science campus. Learn more about heart health and join us for a short walk led by Patta Murray, wellness manager at the South Y. The South Y at the MorseCenteris located on the 3rd floor of Dowling Hall.
“Start Walking is a perfect day to renew your commitment to exercise and can prepare you for the 2012 Toledo Heart Walk”, said Vicki Riddick, senior wellness officer for theUniversityofToledo. The heart walk will be held Saturday, May 19 at Glass Bowl.
