UTMC Cultural Transformation Experience
UTMC Cultural Transformation Experience
The Journey Continues…
For over the past two years, University of Toledo Medical Center has embarked on a journey towards cultural distinction. With a steady focus on the strategic goals of engaging employees who purposefully work to create a patient-centered environment, UTMC’s culture continues to evolve. While on path of purpose, there are certainly lessons to be learned and victories to be shared. In fact, The University of Toledo Medical center has gained national recognition for improving patient satisfaction by Press Ganey, New York Times and PWC (Healthcare Research Institute). Our Emergency Department received recognition on the national level for statistically significant improvements in the overall care in their department and UTMC was identified as a “National Success Story Award” for improving patient satisfaction.
Along our journey of building a culture of distinction, we must continue to focus on the framework of developing high-performing individuals who are engaged in the mission of The University of Toledo Medical center and committed to those they serve, including the internal customer. Providing the right supports and structure is essential in advancing our mission to sustain a culture of distinction. Understanding this fact, all UTMC employees from Administrators to front line employees will gather together for a cultural transformation experience that promises to be engaging, high-energy, and truly exciting. Included in the transformational sessions are topics such as; current national healthcare realities, creating a truly engaging work environment, providing a memorable patient experience, and executing the UTMC Victory 2015 Five-Year-Plan. Recognizing that the journey towards excellence can be complex and full of obstacles, these transformational sessions are specifically designed to provide the right supports as we reconfirm our mission to be a distinctive top-tier hospital in the nation.
