Hello everyone! Wow! What a way to start 2014! Polar Vortex….who ever heard of such a thing?! I hope you all stayed safe and warm and didn’t run out of bread. LOL
In my last blog I told you to look for more information regarding 6 Weeks of Wellness. Because of the weather and unexpected days off, 6 Weeks to Wellness will begin on January 22 instead of January 15th.
We at The Morse Center and Rocket Wellness are so excited to bring this program back to UTMC employees! It is a fantastic way to kick off and stick with those New Year’s Resolutions!
There will be 6 educational sessions meeting Wednesday’s from 12:00-12:45pm at The South YMCA at Morse Center (3rd floor of Dowling Hall).
Here are just a few perks of participating~
o You will receive a complimentary membership to The South YMCA at Morse Center during these 6 weeks.
o This will allow you access to The Morse Center to work out on your own or join one of our fabulous group exercise classes.
o If you attend all 6 sessions, you will receive a free Rocket Wellness meal in The Four Seasons Bistro.
o You will receive useful and practical information to live a healthy lifestyle.

Kary Whearty is the Health Promotion Coordinator at the Morse Center. She has a passion and energy for fitness and overall well-being. Kary graduated from The University of Toledo in 2001 with a Bachelors Degree in Social Work. She has worked at the university for 8 years in various capacities. She is a group exercise instructor at The YMCA and really enjoys meeting new people that attend her classes.
