Rocket Wellness is sizzling this summer!
Rocket Wellness will be visiting your department to help launch you into a healthier lifestyle! Each month a Rocket Wellness Ambassador will stop by a different department to share UT wellness events, tips, giveaways and more. This is also an opportunity for you to share with our ambassadors, ideas on how Rocket Wellness can help your staff adopt a healthy lifestyle. Rocket Wellness Ambassadors began their visits in July, and will continue the first week of every month. Look for us in your department soon!
The Farmers Market is back!!! Make sure you come out and join us for the first 2014 Market day on the HSC next Wednesday, July 23rd from 11 AM – 1 PM, outside Mulford Library building. UTMC is proud to continue our partnership with the Toledo Famers’ Market Association to offer our staff, students, visitors, and community the opportunity to purchase fresh, locally grown vegetables, fruits, and learn about the benefits of healthy eating, locally grown food, and sustainable living.
Visit us every other Wednesday from July through October, from 11 AM – 1 PM, outside Mulford Library building! Eat healthier while supporting UTMC’s commitment to offering sustainable, locally sourced foods.
Next week we will be grilling fresh vegetables for you to try along with instructions on how best to grill fruits and vegetables!

John Pantel is the wellness dietitian nutritionist and Program Manager for Nutrition and Community Engagement for UT Rocket Wellness. He graduated from The University of Michigan School of Public Health with a Master of Science in Nutritional Science, earned a B.S. in Food and Nutrition from The University of Cincinnati, and is a registered dietitian nutritionist. John specializes in nutrition for a healthy weight and affordable healthy eating. His interests include cycling, fitness, and gardening with his family.
