Rocket Into an Experiential Opportunity!

Happy New Year Rocket Family! The Center for International Studies and Programs has anxiously awaited your arrival back on campus. CISP’s focus to bring all students experiential learning opportunities will be in full force this semester. To learn about all international experiences CISP offers please attend an information session at one of the below times:

Every Monday – Thursday: 3:00-4:00 p.m.

Every Friday:  11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

All students are encouraged to join our experiential learning course Learning Through Service: Haiti Experience AL 1940 on Fridays from 12-1:40 pm for 2 credit hours. This course is designed to facilitate each student’s exploration of leadership and global understanding. The semester will include various service learning projects in the community and a week-long service trip to Haiti during spring break.


Learn more about this service learning opportunity by stopping in Snyder Memorial, Suite 1000. The course will work with the HUT Outreach organization.

Other American cultural immersion events this semester will include excursions to Alpine Valley Ski Resort (2nd Annual) and the Detroit Auto Show. International and domestic students are given the opportunity to come together and share their cultural and personal selves during these excursions. Lastly, January 15th at 9 AM will begin the sign-up kick-off for CISP’s Disney Adventure! This 6-day spring break excursion includes a 3-hour Disney Leadership Strategy course, a flight to and from Detroit to Orlando, a 6 night stay in Disney’s All Star Music Resort including transportation to the park, and a 5 day Park Hopper Pass for $865. A $100 deposit is due at sign-up to hold your place. Please visit SM 1000 to learn more and reserve your spot. Sign-ups are first come first serve. We can’t wait to enjoy the magic of Disney with you!
